My specialty is training Pharmacists and healthcare practitioners to develop business management strategies for their practice so they can focus on patient-centred care.
Drawing on senior-level regional retail operations experience in the Pharmacy/drug store sector, multi-drug store ownership, and Pharmaceutical/Front Shop wholesale supply-chain business development; I bring clients the unique advantage of retail and wholesale strategic business management with experience and knowledge of the highly regulated healthcare sector. I understand who my clients are, what they need, and where to find it.
I’m passionate to drive performance by providing a solution-oriented focus with ideas and alternatives clients can use to address the changing business issues they face right now. Including ongoing support in areas such as retail operational execution, customer experience and promotional marketing. I aim to inspire my clients to achieve their business objectives balanced with meeting the needs of today’s customers and consumers.
Originally from Winnipeg, my wife and I are long-time residents of the North Shore. We have two married adult daughters who have gone through university and now building careers of their own. I’m a regular lecturer at UBC Pharmacy, workshop & seminar leader, and business columnist/blogger. My recent activities have included being; speaker and workshop leader at Small Business BC, mentoring UBC Pharmacy and medical students and women entrepreneurs at The Forum. Now living in White Rock: in my spare time I enjoy woodworking; and we like the arts, live music & theatre, all sports and healthy cooking.
